HARDCAT MAINTENANCE MANAGER
 

The Maintenance management component of the Hardcat suite of products allows a simple yet powerful tool to control your scheduled maintenance management needs. The Maintenance management is one of the four major Hardcat disciplines, the three other major disciplines being, E-Procurement, Asset Management and Help Desk Management.

The Maintenance Management module links directly into the Asset Management module, requiring no duplication as well as speed of implementation.

Hardcat can provide your organization with a comprehensive, enterprise wide Maintenance management software solution that allows work orders to be managed throughout the life cycle process.

Hardcat achieves this by being able to record and manage maintenance transactions in a format that is user friendly, customizable and readily promotes information exchange between internal and external stakeholders.

PROJECTS

Hardcat maintenance module allows the user to build projects. These projects contain a series of tasks.

TASKS

Tasks are created within Hardcat with triggers being based on either date or units of usage. Work orders are automatically produced by these Tasks for maintenance to be carried out on assets within that Task.

STOCK USAGE

Hardcat monitors the stock used in the completion of maintenance work orders. This will automatically update the stock module as well as supply an audit trail of the usage of stock.

KNOWLEDGE BASE

The Hardcat Maintenance has a built in Knowledge Base allowing users to build up a list of maintenance requirements. This is also a great assistance on reducing the loss of knowledge within your organization due to staff turnover.

WORK ORDERS

Hardcat allows ticket generation via the Web, Client Server or PDA. This ticket number allows a complete audit trail of the maintenance issue as well as its final solution.

COST OF OWNERSHIP

The Maintenance will show the client the true cost of ownership of his asset base as well as reflecting a complete audit trail of problems from initial registration through maintenance completion.

FORECASTING

Hardcat allows the user to forecast the time required as well as the cost of tasks scheduled to be carried out.

SCHEDULING

Hardcat allows the user to simply schedule tasks to be done by either date or calibration (units of use). The work orders will be automatically produced based upon the schedule set.

REPORT GENERATOR

Hardcat has a standard in-built report generator which provides a comprehensive query facility, allowing an individual user to target particular groups for reporting purposes.

WEB INTERFACE

Hardcat supplies a standard web interface which allows users to access Hardcat via a web browser. This allows users to register maintenance requests via the web and they will be automatically distributed to the correct engineer via Hardcat. These users require no training in Hardcat and have their access determined by the Hardcat administrator.

EMAIL

Hardcat supports all popular email formats on the market. All reports within Hardcat can be emailed to persons, or groups of people requiring the report in either text format or HTML.

PDA

Hardcat supports both Pocket PC as well as CE. Maintenance function written for the PDA allow engineers to respond to maintenance issues in the field using these hand held devices.

EXTERNAL APPLICATIONS

Hardcat has its own API (Application Program Interface) which allows direct access to other systems. A simple example of this is MS Active Directory.
