Hardcat software is a powerful yet easy to operate modular asset management system with the ability to manage your assets from initial purchase through to final disposal. The External Interface Module (which like all other optional modules links into the Core Module) is featured on this page.

INTEGRATED TOOLS

Hardcat can be integrated into other systems, such as SAP and Oracle Financials, utilizing the rich import and export interface. Additionally by using the Hardcat API (Application Program Interface), custom software can be developed that integrates Hardcat with other packages. An example of this is the direct integration of Hardcat with MS Active Directory.

AUTO DISCOVERY INTERFACE

Hardcat integrates seamlessly with various software audit and discovery products. Among these products are Microsoft SMS, Gasp, LanDesk, Express Metrix and Centennial. The auto discovery tools can be used to directly update information within Hardcat e.g. you may keep track of the physical memory in your computer systems. Hardcat maintains a complete audit trail of all changes made. This gives you the best of both worlds, the auto discovery tool controls the software licensing, patching, monitoring etc and Hardcat controls the Hardware, Financials, History as well as the complete control of assets from cradle to grave.

DATABASE

Hardcat supports the four main database systems:- Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle and IBM DB2. Hardcat also provides the tools to allow you to convert from any of these platforms directly into another e.g. converting the Hardcat Oracle database to an MS SQL Server database and vice versa.

HARDWARE

Hardcat puts asset management in the palm of your hand with Pocket PC and Windows CE on handheld PDA units. Depending upon your requirements, the PDA can process in batch mode or alternatively update the database via wireless networking. Using Hardcat specially designed PDA software, the one device can potentially handle everything from goods receipting, asset or stock auditing through to update of help desk problems or maintenance work orders. Hardcat supplies commercially printed barcodes in a variety of different materials depending upon your requirements. Options include Laminated, Plastic, Aluminium or Steel. With choices for self adhesive glue or rivet attachement to assets. Barcodes are available in all shapes and sizes, in 1D or 2D formats, for virtually every imaginable business requirement and operating environment.

RFID

Hardcat supports both passive as well as active RFID tags, for a wide range of device applications, as well as fixed mounted and hand held RFID readers. Hardcat's expertise will ensure that you select the RFID option that is best suited to your business requirements.

Small Rigid Tag

Intermec's Small Rigid Tag (SRT) is a truly passive UHF RFID tag designed for superior performance on a variety of surfaces. The tag available in both EPC Global Class 1, Generation 2 (Gen 2) and ISO 18000-6B.protocols.

Large Rigid Tag

Intermec's Large Rigid tag is a truly passive UHF radio frequency identification (RFID) transponder that delivers superior performance on a variety of surfaces and is available in both Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6B versions.

IT32A Gen 2 ID Card
